AGM - May 2016

The 65th meeting of the WRI Nurses League was held on the Saturday 14th May 2016 at the University of Worcester, City Campus in Castle Street (the old Worcester Royal Infirmary). Lunch and the AGM were held in the former Wheeley Lea Ward.

The photographs below illustrate the most enjoyable time spent catching up with old friends and colleagues, sharing all the news. We have not added any names to the pictures.

The photographs were taken by Rona Mackenzie (nee Clark). Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your permission to include these photographs and your patience whilst I tried to capture everyone but I am aware some people are missing, not easy when people are on the move to chat to friends.

Above and Beyond

AGM 2016

Congratulations to Muriel Clayson who has won the 'Above and Beyond' category at the very first West Midlands Museums Volunteer Awards (September 2016).

The awards were held at Birmingham's Hippodrome Theatre and presented by BBC journalist Sarah Falkland.

Muriel was nominated by Margaret Panter at Tudor House Museum but her contribution to The Infirmary and George Marshall Medical Museums was also acknowledged.

Muriel was a reluctant recipient as she prefers to shun the limelight but she enjoyed the evening and it is very well deserved.

On the Move

AGM 2016

November 2016

Miss Cunningham enjoyed a small afternoon tea with some committee members and friends before leaving Worcester to be nearer her relatives up north.

She was presented with a book of League photographs and bouquet of flowers and given our thanks and good wishes for the future.
