How to Lose Weight
Vic Tan explains how to lose weight quickly and effectively.
We all struggle with losing extra weight sometimes. Not being able to lose the fat on your belly or thighs even after an extensive diet and exercise regime can be a massive blow to your motivation. In such cases, there is no shame in taking help from fast-burning, extremely fat-reducing pills.
Effective Ways of Reducing Weight
Weight-loss journeys are often long and tiring, but the result is always fruitful. However, not everyone's journey is the same; hence, it cannot be compared. You can try several methods, but saying no to food is the most challenging task.
Moreover, following fad diets only produces a short-term result, which has a yo-yo effect and leads to extra weight gain after returning to a regular diet.
Here are some ways to lose stubborn fat without compromising on your diet.
Never Skip Breakfast
Although calorie deficit is the go-to way for weight loss, it doesn't call for skipping breakfast. The day's first meal is the most important; it works your metabolism and provides much-needed fuel for your workout.
Moreover, even having a small portion of food for breakfast will prevent you from binge-eating during lunchtime.
Say No to Food Past 9
Get into the habit of not overeating at night. Most people ruin their weight loss journey by snacking excessively at night. Although it is not practical to lock your kitchen past nine, you can brush your teeth well before bedtime to prevent snacking.
Alternatively, you can begin to get in the habit of sleeping early. Sleeping is said to help with weight loss, as our metabolism is faster when we sleep.
Increase your Intake of Fruits and Vegetables
If you want to lose weight without gaining muscle, an excellent method is to increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Fruits are a natural source of sugar that will help you satisfy your cravings for junk food like cookies.
More importantly, fruits are low in calories, so you can eat more than you would on a protein-based diet.
Try Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting, IF for short, is a dieting method where you eat during a specific eating window and inhibit intake outside the window. There are several eating windows you can choose from. The first and easiest is alternative day fasting, where you fast one day and normally eat the other.
You can also opt for the 5:2 or 16:8 methods of IF. In the 5:2 dieting method, you fast for 2 days and eat as usual for the remaining 5 days. In the 16:8 dieting method, you have an eating window of 8 hours and fast for the remaining 16 hours. This produces a calorie deficit, promoting weight loss.
